Vitamin D

We have been told time and again that vitamin D, an immune enhancer, is essential to good health. So let the sun shine in!

Some Benefits of Vitamin D

Research has shown vitamin D appears to play an important role in the prevention of diseases, such as:

  • breast cancer
  • colon cancer
  • prostate cancer
  • chronic fatigue
  • decline in cognitive function
  • depression
  • diabetes
  • hypertension
  • multiple sclerosis
  • osteoporosis
  • rheumatoid arthritis

There are also studies which have shown that Vitamin D increases the survival rate in people who suffer from malignant melanomas, a type of skin cancer.

Cholecalciferol

Cholecalciferol, a form of vitamin D found naturally in fish-liver oils (vitamin D3) and egg yolks, is also the particular kind of vitamin D that’s formed by the action of sunlight, when our skin is exposed to the sun.

O.k, it’s settled. It’s common knowledge that we get vitamin D from the sun and certain foods. The challenge is, there are myriad influences that impact our body’s ability to produce enough vitamin D from the sun, such as the:

  • angle of sunrays
  • season of the year
  • time of day
  • body’s age
  • use of proper sunscreen
  • individual’s pigmentation

Other Sources of Vitamin D

Just as importantly, we can receive important sources of vitamin D from several sources such as oily fish, like salmon, sardines and mackerel. We can also benefit from drinking fortified orange juice and dairy products.

The Challenge

So even though it is established that we all need vitamin D, not everyone is alike. While soaking in the rays from the sun for equal amounts of time, our individual body’s consumption levels will be different.

Why? We all have different sensitivities to the sun’s rays. A darker skinned person may be able to absorb more exposure than a lighter skinned person with less harmful effects.

Even if we eat the recommended amounts of fish or juices, the nutrients in that food may be lacking. We just cannot know how much fish or how many oranges to eat to acquire sufficient levels of vitamin D.

The Solution

There is, however, a method of avoiding deficiencies due to an incorrect diet or lack of sufficient sun. That would be to fortify our diets with a nutritional supplement.

In part 1 my friend had me on the ropes or so he thought.

I asked, “What did you have for breakfast this morning?” His response came slowly . . . “The usual, a double mocha latte. He quickly added, ” I needed a pick-me-up,  but I was in a hurry.”

.

Double Mocha Latte . . . Mmmm!

Ummm . . . Scrumptious!

.

I said, ” So you let ‘if and but’ get in the way of your body receiving proper nutrition. You start your conversation off with ‘If I eat a balanced meal’ and ended with, “but I was in a hurry.”

I continued. “How many fish did you catch before breakfast? Did you tend your garden this morning?

Was that a “trap door closing” look on his face.

Tasting victory, I asked, “So that’s one meal missed. What do you do now, eat twice as much of the right food groups for lunch? You and I both know that’s not gonna happen.” He chuckled. I had him.

“Dude,” I said, “I was in a hurry as well, but I take one minute to sip an ounce of liquid multivitamin everyday and my body receives all of the essential nutrients it needs for that day. Takes less than a minute. It’s almost too easy.”

.

GBG Flyer 10 in One

.

“Yeah, but your vitamin would cost me money every day!”

“Well you said you ordered the ‘usual.’ What did that double mocha latte with a twist of whatever cost you? And not only in dollars and cents. What’s all that sugar doing to your system on a daily basis? Should I go on? I’ll choose the liquid vitamin every time.”

Clang! Went the trap door.

.

Consider My Case Rested

We all could go without supplements if the foods we ate were whole, packed with nutrition, inexpensive, plentiful, easy to prepare and convenient.

But instead, the foods we consume are processed, fortified and sprayed with colorization. (why do you think that apple is so red?)

.

Back to the study

After eight weeks the participants in the study had their nutrient levels examined.

The participants who were given the multivitamin and not the placebo, including those who had indicated they were already eating folic fortified food, had much higher levels of many of our body’s  essential nutrients.

.

So What’s My Conclusion?

For us baby boomers, even if we strive to eat the best foods, the use of a daily multivitamin can only help us maintain optimal nutritional levels.

I’ve been taking a multivitamin daily for about two years now. Maybe it’s the vitamin or maybe it’s the fact that I feel pretty good all the time that people notice my energy level remains high.

I’m telling you, life is good if we let it be. If we feel good, it shows. People notice the difference. If our bodies receive the essential nutrients every day, we probably feel good.

.

GBG

.

As an Analogy:

Why is the term “ran out of gas” applied to so many different situations where people come up short? Because everybody knows what that means. A marathoner runs 24.5 miles in a few hours and drops to the ground less than half a mile from the finish line. Why? He ran out of (essential nutrients) gas.

Why do some people need “pick me ups” in the middle of their work-day? Chocolate bar, energy drink of choice; Their body “ran out of gas.” They lacked proper nutrient levels.

.

Whipped!

.

We Boomers  Need to “Get Back to Zero.”

That’s my reference  to taking the right multivitamin and mineral supplement that will shore up our systems.

It’s simple. Our bodies need a finite amount of essential nutrients daily (like a car needs gas) to perform at optimal levels. Our daily activities drain what nutrients we have stored up.

With the foods we eat lacking in proper nutrition, we start off below zero and work our way down.

.

In conclusion

I say, “take a sip of a good multivitamin every day, and get yourself back to zero.”

.

Happ days are here again!

Hey Boomers! We’re now considered “older.” Can you believe it? Seems like just yesterday we were . . . 20, 30, 40, or was it 50? Hmmm, memory fades with age.

.

But That Was Then

Today I’m writing about nutritional needs for our ageing bodies. Younger generations could benefit from this information too. After all if you start young and maintain a healthy regimen, good habits alone will carry you for decades.

So check this out. There was a clinical study recently that observed Baby Boomers and older adults who had been given either a multivitamin or a placebo, daily, for a total of eight weeks.

.

Placebo Please1

Will the Real Multi-Vitamin Please Stand Up . . .

.

The study was geared to determine the effects of multivitamins on the nutritional status of older adults. Baby Boomers come to mind, because I am one.

Many boomers feel that if we “eat right” we don’t really need to add the expense of a multivitamin or mineral to our diets. Been there, heard that.

.

An Apple a Day

I had the “Apple a Day . . .” debate with my very good, very skeptical friend last week. We debate a lot.

He has issues with network marketing companies, so every chance he gets he will corner me about my products.

During our conversation he mentioned several times how he felt too exhausted after work to study for exams, etc.

.

Chillin

.

Usually when I hear certain words it triggers memories, so when he said the word exhausted, I thought of the benefits of the multivitamin that I market and sell. Naturally I mentioned it.

It’s like he was baiting the trap for me to mention my product.

.

He Leaped

His premise was, “That’s what I’m talking about. I knew you were going to bring up your vitamin, but it’s like this. If at every meal, I eat a balanced diet of fruits, grains, vegetables, lean beef, and fish etc., I don’t need to spend my hard earned cash on your vitamin. I can grow my own vegetables, catch the fish myself, and so on.” His conversation was peppered with statistics and words like essential nutrients, folic acid, etc.

.

Fruits and Veggies

.

He then leaned back in his chair, assured of a verbal victory. I was grinning, because he was absolutely right! It’s possible to eat the correct amount of nutritional sustenance, but man!, is it time consuming. And secondly, yes, I did bring up my vitamin.

.

For a great multivitamin that I get paid to promote, but would promote even if I did not sell it, that also has an available program to help pay for itself, click on my affiliate link  here.

Living with a Hiatal Hernia … By: Kathy D, Contributing Author

The “C” Word

.

Cancer Symbol

.

Cancer? Despite someone’s bed alarm going off at that precise moment, it got really quiet, an almost creepy calm. I was having a “not me” moment. “Ok, hold on a minute doc, you said cancer?”

I was in shock. Thoughts were racing. He said the “C” word. I’d been healthy all of my life. I ate right. I worked out regularly. I had to tell my husband. I was frightened. What about my son? My mom? My business? What about . . .

I barely heard doc when he said, “We’ll set up an appointment for your endoscopy; it will be an outpatient procedure, and the results of that will show us how to proceed.”

.

Endoscopy

.

My husband. “Oh my God!” As I tried to tell him the results of the test, tears of fear started flowing. I was no longer in control. He was strong until later, when he thought no one was watching.

“What if’s” violated my mind. I couldn’t dismiss the thought that there might be a possibility of cancer. I had seen people who had cancer. I have known people who had cancer. It can’t happen to me. I won’t let it. I’ll be alright . . . I’m not in control.

.

The Endoscopy Results and Other Stuff

.

After the procedure I was taken to the recovery room. Once I was coherent, I was taken to the waiting room and . . . you guessed it, I waited.

Finally the doctor came in with my results. He was upbeat. His first words were, “There are no signs of cancer.”

.

My chest deflated. Until that moment I hadn’t realized I was holding my breath. He said, “Basically, we should be able to control your acid reflux with medication.”

“Thank you Jesus.”

.

Several years have passed since, and I am happy to report I still have no signs of erosion and with the help of my good doctor, we’ve been able to control the acid reflux with medication. I take a 25mg. Proton Pump Inhibitor once a day for the acid reflux.

.

:

Proton Pump

:

.

I also have had to:

  • avoid foods that contain acid like tomatoes, orange juice caffeinated coffee and beverages
  • lose weight (oh yes),
  • eat small, frequent meals (this one is hard, I’m not hungry all the time),
  • avoid lying down for 3 hours after a meal

Believe me, this routine is not an easy task, being human, but I give it my best shot.

When I backslide, and sometimes I do, I can expect the possibility that I will be awakened in the middle of the night with the worst pain in my chest.

Just in case, I keep a stash of antacid tablets by the bed for relief.

So far, so good. By maintaining a strict regimen, I’ve been able to keep the reflux under control.

.

Now comes today. As I did a little research for this article, I learned something. I found out that stomach exercises can cause acid to back up in your stomach. Me, who just got finished with doing my daily sit-up routine. “What the . . . is next?”

.

So what have I learned?

.

It takes sitting in a waiting room for hours to make us realize, no one is really in control.

We bounce from task to task doing the best we can with what we have. We eventually learn to control what we can and let God handle the rest.

What’s going to pop up next? Who knows.

What is a girl going to do? A girl is going to Live!!!

.

Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Hope it helps you or someone you care for.

Living with a Hiatal Hernia … By: Kathy D, Contributing Author

.

It Was My Turn . . .

“See you when I get back,” I smiled and waved at my husband and mother-in-law as I walked through the door for the procedure. We all had on our game faces, although I was pretending not to be nervous, I failed miserably.

The procedure, surprisingly, wasn’t uncomfortable and didn’t seem to take too long. I don’t remember feeling a thing. After they wheeled me back to the recovery room, the nurse placed a weight on my incision area to keep pressure on it.

.

Hospital Bed

.

“Ok,” I’m thinking, “I’m laying here in a hospital bed, with a heavy weight on an incision, on an empty stomach. How much more am I going to have to take? ” Hospital visits tend to make some people irritable. I am normally in control of emotions but I was beginning to understand their rationale.

After about an hour, an orderly, or somebody, came in with some juice for me to drink and a light snack to munch on while I continued to wait for my results from the testing.

.

Hospital Food

.

Crunch time (so to speak)

.

As I sat up in the bed eating every drop, the doctor came in and said, “We have the results and you’re fine in that area, we’re giving you a clean bill of health. You don’t have any blockages.”

Relief flooded through me. Yes! Thank you God!

Feelings of anxiety returned within a half hour.  Even with the news of no blockage, to lift my spirits, I was still having major chest pains before I arrived home that day. I had to find out what was causing them.

After scheduling the earliest appointment I could get, a week later I went to see my regular doctor. I didn’t sit down because it hurt too much to get back up. I said, “We have to find out what’s going on with me. I can’t take much more of this.”

He could tell right away something was wrong and scheduled me immediately for more x-rays. Off to the hospital I went.

<    :     >

Standing xray

<    :    >

The Prognosis

When Doc came into the waiting room, he was smiling. “Further testing has confirmed my suspicions, you have what is called a “Hiatal” hernia. “A what?” I asked.

Doc began to explain. Now this is not his exact explanation, but this is the gist of what he said.

“A Hiatal hernia is an anatomical abnormality, where part of your stomach protrudes through the diaphragm and up into your chest. Sometimes this condition causes acid reflux.”

I had heard of acid reflux.

“You see,” he continued, “your esophagus sits on top of your diaphragm. A Hiatal hernia is located between your esophagus and your diaphragm.

.

Hiatal Hernia

.

Because of this, it causes acid to back up into the esophagus. Therefore you experience pain in the upper abdomen.

The pain can be in the form of heartburn, chest pain, regurgitation or nausea, some of the symptoms you were having.”

I’m a woman who likes to get to the point, so I said, “Ok, my question is, now that we know what’s causing the pain, how do we fix it?”

“We have to have an endoscopy done to see if there is any damage to your esophagus,” Doc went on to explain, “the acid could erode your stomach lining and cause cancer.”

“Cancer?”

“Hello again, and welcome back.”

.

GBG

.

(Guided By God)

Apologies up front if this article comes off “salesy,” (is that a word?). But here we go. I’m going to put it out there.

As you know by now, I am an internet network marketing Baby Boomer. My company of choice is GBG. The name derives from, “Guided by God.”

We don’t hype it, but that’s where the name comes from, and our founder, Stuart Finger, is sincere about his conviction. The reason I’m telling it now is because I have been asked often recently, “What do the letters GBG mean?”

Most in our community haven’t heard of GBG, but that’s going to change, with a quickness. I am so proud of my friends and family who have taken charge of the ‘direction’ of their health. If I used such terminology, I’d say, “Kudos,” but I don’t.

:

Momma's Hands Apple

:

Boomers are becoming more aware everyday when it comes to our health. Due to that awareness we are getting our diets in check, exercising more, getting good rest and investigating healthy alternatives, and that is where GBG shines.

.

GBG is Not New to Network Marketing

.

The company has been around for about fourteen years, and Stuart Finger, the CEO, has proven himself a man of his word when it comes to building a network marketing company with the reps in mind.

He’s built GBG with passion, patience, perseverance and vitality. From day one.

I’m sure some of you are saying , “Yeah CK, I’ve heard it all before.” But, I say, while inserting a message, “Don’t mix apples and donuts.” Don’t compare GBG to any other network marketing company you’ve had the displeasure of working your butt off for.

If you haven’t heard about this company and founder, you might want to investigate.

.

Jackee 227

.

Why do you think the beautiful Ms. Jackee Harry joined our company recently. She met with Stuart, saw his vision, (had already tried the product and gotten great results) and became our National Celebrity Spokesperson.

How often do we networkers go to meetings, conferences or listen to calls hosted by the “sincere, emotional, driven, believer of all things related to his or her company?” Only to find out in a short while that most of what they are selling is crap.

The last meeting I went to, the overly excited guy on stage kept yelling, “Don’t miss this boat!” Must have said it a hundred times.

.

Well, that’s not GBG

.

I was the biggest skeptic when introduced to GBG by my good friend and associate, Sergio Rozzelle. Matter of fact, I want to pause and say, “Thank you man for insisting I take a look at this company, you’re a true friend. Don’t sweat the skeptics.” But thank goodness you were persistent. I owe you big time my brother. We’ve got this.

.

GBG’s Direction

.

Stuart Finger has masterfully guided his company through much turbulence and he did it with integrity, honesty and a tunnel vision most of us can only dream about.

Yeah, maybe I sound like some of those guys I mentioned above, but I can prove what I say.

.

Stuart Finger provides leadership

.

GBG is a real network marketing company, run by a real network marketer, who is in the trenches with the rest of us. He makes his living doing what we do, selling GBG products, in addition to running his company. How cool is that?

A great company does not take advantage of its reps; it provides great leadership, products, training and compensation.

GBG, through Stuart Finger, does that in spades.

  • Q. Is GBG a Pyramid Scheme?

  • A. No. We have products. Some, certified by the Glycemic Index.
  • Q. Are we required to purchase inferior products that get shoved to the back of the closet?
  • A. No. We buy one bottle of GBG’s Ten in One™ Liquid Multi Formula for $29.95 plus shipping.

With that purchase we receive:

  1. A Free Business.
  2. A Free Website.
  3. Free Landing Pages.

“But I don’t want to run a business CK.”

You don’t have to work the business in order to enjoy the benefits of the products. I just happened to (after decades of searching) find my passion, in advocating better health for boomers. Now I have a good product to assist me in that cause. I’m done searching! Man, I can’t express to you how good this feels.

Hah! I just this second realized something. I had to wait to become a boomer, to get passionate about helping boomers. How ’bout it!

But I digress.

No. We don’t have to work the business, but it’s there for the taking. And if you know 6 people who need supplements and they sign with you, the cost of your monthly bottle of GBG’s 10 In One™ Liquid Multi Formula is covered.

Do I chase friends and family members down and figuratively beat them over the head with our great products until they give up and buy in to the plan? No, because that’s not the way I’m building my business, but that’s another article. If you want to know how I am building my business, email me at Charles@CreateVitality.Com

Here’s a tip:

If you are considering network marketing, don’t go for the hype and join the wrong company, with wrong training, wrong product, wrong leadership . . . should I go on?

At least do yourself the favor of clicking on my affiliate link to, give GBG a good look.

This just might be the boat we didn’t miss. Thanks for reading. Got a little long-winded.

Hey, how’s it going?

.

Watched any TV lately?

Heck, I used to be one of those people who proudly bragged to anyone who would listen; “I don’t watch TV.”

.

tv

.

After one such announcement I was stunned when this woman said to me, “Hmmph, so you one of them smug bastards who too gooooood to watch tv.”

“Huh?” I questioned, caught off guard, “Well, um, yeah.”

Had a ton of reasons not to watch, all patterned to fit the situation of the moment. “I’m too busy.” “It’s mind-numbing drivel.” “Has nothing to do with my ‘getting ahead.’” “Personally . . . (pause for effect, while simultaneously rubbing chin) . . . I pursue more intellectual pursuits, per se.”

Your turn to say, “Huh?”

.

Well, that was then

.

Television has come a long way since she pounced. We now have multiple choices and thousand inch screens that bathe us in whatever information we choose to wallow in.

Ever notice that even though we have 500 channels to choose from, we still watch the same 5 or 6 channels religiously? Hmmm.

And even though I’ve beaten around the proverbial bush, this is a health related article.

.

Today’s article is about, The Doctor Oz Show. Doc Oz

.

My mom brought up yet again how I’ve shared my stuff with others most of my life, beginning with when I traded my new snow boots to Melvin Lee. I was in grammar school, probably third grade.

It was late 50’s. Mid-winter, lower Michigan, 3 feet of snow.

He only had one left boot and a sob-story. I bought into it. We traded for my two new boots, and for some reason I assumed mom would just run out and buy me another pair.

Imagine my surprise when I proudly announced, while displaying the lone left boot, “Melvin only had one boot, so I traded him for mine.”

.

“You did What!” she said, as I witnessed a 360º neck spin way before Exorcist.

.

Who knew moms didn’t just “run out” and re-spend money on things they’d already bought. To his credit, Melvin brought me another left boot after mom called his mom. Seems he lost mine too.

Fast forward (tv term), fifty-plus years later, and I still have the trait. I love to share, and here’s my latest contribution to the cause.

.

Tip:

Presbyopia = older eyes. (I have two of those) That’s not the original tip, but Doctor Oz just taught it, and I caught it.

.

The Dr. Oz show comes on in my area at 11pm every weeknight. I’m on the East Coast.

If you’re at all concerned about your health, or know anyone who may need the information, (we all do) you really should take an hour and watch his show. Only one challenge. It can become addicting.

.

Information: The Drug of Choice

.

The Dr. Oz show is informative to a fault and entertaining to . . . boot. His laid back manner of teaching us about our health is great. That’s the only way I can say it. I learn something every night I watch his show.

If you are not watching Dr. Oz, you are doing yourself a disservice. But hey, if you do watch it and decide it’s not for you I’ll bet you know someone who watches TV; someone who needs the information.

.

Couch Potatoes Untie! er . . . Unite!

.

So let’s all share. Give someone a gift of health. Watching the Dr. Oz show is like being in an accelerated health and wellness class. You learn, you laugh, you get healthier, just by watching tv.

How easy is that?

Hey all my Reader Friends, How about this?

On April 2, 2010, GBG,  my network marketing company of choice, proudly announced, the addition of Ms. Jackée Harry, Star of  television sitcoms, film and theatre, as the new National Spokeswoman for GBG.

.

“Say What!” Jackee

.

That’s right, I said it.

.

On her website, Ms. Harry states she had already decided it was time to take better care of herself health-wise. “That’s why, when a loved one approached me some time ago, with a liquid vitamin called 10-in-One (by GBG), not only was I in need of such a product…I was actually in search of one. Every single person on the planet, no matter who you are, should be consuming nutrients of the highest quality, DAILY! And if you ask me, GBG’s 10-in-One provides those much needed vitamins and nutrients.”

.

Ms. Harry has starred in a number of TV shows like 227,  Jackee 227 Another World, The Women of Brewster Place, Everybody Hates Chris, etc., but has never endorsed a product such as ours.

GBG, a renowned health and wellness company, shares its owner’s vision with all of its representatives, now including Ms. Harry.

As the new GBG national spokeswoman, Ms. Harry shares in the vision of GBG’s founder Stuart Finger. He will readily share, with anyone who will listen, his passion for helping others around the globe, live their best and healthiest of lives.

Ms. Harry, who won an Emmy for her role as Sandra Clark on the hit TV series, 227, has teamed up with GBG, to promote improved health and wealth across America.

GBG LOGO

Something I seldom say because it is so overused in network marketing is, “I’m excited.”

She is not only a great spokeswoman with a reputation of integrity, she is passionate about our product, GBG’s Ten In One™ Liquid Multi Formula.

Jackée says on her website, “it truly is the most amazing product I’ve ever consumed! Not to mention, it’s pleasant tasting and entersyour system in around 3 minutes following consumption.

.

super foods

.

I find that it even curtails my cravings for unhealthy foods, which has allowed me to manage my weight, while providing me with previously untapped energy.”

Having been a fan of Jackée Harry for many years, I find it difficult to imagine her without an abundance of energy. She always seems so full of life, when we are fortunate enough to catch her performances, live or on screen.

She goes on to say on her site, “In fact, I love the product (GBG’s Liquid Multi Formula) so much, I decided to align with the company, in

an effort to get the word out about what I feel is truly a super formula. No false claims. No gimmicks. No gotchas. I have NEVER been in the business of endorsing anything I don’t believe in.”

.

gbg flyer

.

But now she is endorsing our company, GBG, and our main product, a liquid multi formula supplement that contains 10 separate formulas.

So I say loudly, “Welcome, Ms. Harry, to GBG and thank you for recognizing the value of our products. “How Bout it!”

Hey there, here’s a Network Marketing No-No. “My product is good for you.” But I’m not supposed to say that right away. It’s too Salesy…too up front.

I am a Blogger; an Internet Marketer and yes, I am opinionated. I’m not at all comfortable with high pressure sales techniques. When people come to me using “techniques,” I cringe.

I write about enhancing our health naturally; specifically by maintaining a healthy (for you) diet, adding natural supplements, getting sufficient exercise and rest. Those are the basics. So easy to do, it’s easy not to do.

But today, I am writing about Doing The Right Thing in Internet Marketing. Personally I find it quite difficult to do the “right thing.”

What’s the Right Thing?

According to many ‘Gurus’ we marketers must strive to:

  • Reel the reader (prospect) in slowly
  • Don’t answer their questions right away about what we’re selling
  • Inundate the reader with “free” information in order to entice them to opt-in

Once they opt-in, give them even more ‘free’ information while attaching our ‘offer’ on the back end; kind of like lulling them in.

I don’t have a clue why online marketing and sales has to be this way. At this stage of my life I don’t enjoy being “reeled in” and I enjoy even less holding the rod and doing the reeling.

Why can’t we just be truthful?

My ex-mentor informed me that it is a numbers game; that we must continually “reel in many fish to get to the keepers.” He says I will regret being up front about the facts and the cost. That is why he is my ‘ex’ mentor.

I will admit, he’s been half-right. Some people have taken advantage of my good nature. But I would choose not to establish a relationship with them anyway, and we parted ways.

My thinking is the opposite; Be honest. Tell me what you are selling, and what it costs; let me make my own decision after I review the facts. If I want “in” I’ll bite. If not, I won’t waste your time or mine. What a concept!

My articles offer great information concerning improving health naturally, but I will sometimes let you know about credible products that I sell as well.

Why? Because they work! At least they worked for me.

Case in Point:

Would you like to feel better than you thought possible and improve your health along the way, all at no financial risk? Sounds like hype right?

Sounded like hype to me too, because I’m a huge skeptic, but I’m glad I gave it a shot, because people comment often about how much energy I have. I can’t help but smile and say, “Yeah, you’re right.”

Want to know my ‘Secret.’

It’s simple, I take one capful of GBG Ten-In-One™ Liquid Multi-Formula every day.

I’ve been an affiliate of GBG, and had my first sip of GBG Ten-In-One™ Liquid Multi-Vitamin in April of 2008.

Taking the vitamin is so easy and convenient, (drink just one cap-full a day) that I have not missed taking my vitamin more than a total of ten days since then. And when I missed a day, I thought about it at least five times that same day, just got lazy or something.

l guarantee you when I was taking the tablet-form of vitamin, I was not as consistent. The consistency alone has to contribute to my feeling better than I have in years. And the added benefit of losing pounds doesn’t hurt either.

I weighed 260 pounds when I took my first drink; Within 90 days I lost 25 pounds; The weight has not come back many months later. That’s my story.

So give it a shot

Here’s my affiliate link. I’m sure if you try GBG Ten-In-One™ Liquid Multi-Vitamin, you will feel a difference. But like pitchman Billy Mays might have said, ”But wait, there’s more, here’s the best part …”

I mentioned earlier that you would have no financial risk.

If you don’t feel that GBG Ten-In-One™ Liquid Multi-Vitamin has been beneficial to your health, you have 60 days to return the empty bottle for a refund of $29.95. What can you lose, with the exception of maybe a few pounds . . .?

So What’s The Problem?

For starters, unhealthy diets are the problem. We know big juicy, greasy, cheeseburgers, hamburgers French-fries etc., taste great and we know intellectually that they are not ‘good’ for our overall health.

But we cram them down and finish them off with a big slug of sugar, known affectionately as ‘soft’ drinks. I guess they’re ‘soft’ because they go down easily.

We know from research that if we apply the ‘Slight Edge’ theory taught by Jeff Olson, over the years there is a good chance that we might clog an artery or two with our choice of diet.

The Solution: Simple, but Hard to Do

Daily exercise and consuming balanced portions of fresh fruit, vegetables and fish is the key to a healthy diet; simple, but hard to do. And I am willing to wager someone out there can show me, backed by statistics, why fresh fruits and vegetables are not good for us. Their opinion, their right.

About Me

I am a 60 year young, Baby Boomer, lived an active lifestyle in California, retired after a 30+ year career and moved east. After retiring it became clear I would need extra income.  I moved to the rural south and opened a retail business. Oops! Wrong idea!

Stress Made Me Do It

With a few years of business challenges, lack of exercise, less than stellar eating habits and poor nutrition, I was not in the best physical condition.  I was stressed!

I had invested my life in activities like weight training, baseball, running, racquetball, skating … something all the time.

Suddenly, overnight, actually it was after 3 years of Slight Edge inactivity, I gained 35 pounds; none of it muscle.

What finally got my attention was I went back to ‘Cali’ for a visit and my friends kept telling me I looked ‘good’, ’settled’ and worst of all … ‘healthy’.

Ouch! I had run from looking ‘healthy’ since I was 16.  An uncle had drilled it into me that if someone said I looked ‘healthy’, I was overweight … by a lot.

Wake-up Call

After all of the well-meaning compliments I knew I had to do something.

Having been athletic my answer was simple. I needed to get back to exercising, cut down calories, eat the proper food groups and augment my diet with vitamins and supplements; Simple, but hard to do.

It is now 10 months later. I’ve lost over 35 pounds.  (was up to 40, but got cocky)

Now clothes that were destined for charity fit again, and I’m having pants taken in at the waist. I feel great!

My vitamin of choice: GBG Liquid Vitamins.

One cap-full meets my daily nutritional needs, curbs afternoon snack attacks and has substantially increased my energy.

I don’t always sleep 8 hours but still wake up energized.  My higher energy level lasts all day, not like some of the ‘instant’ energy drinks where I zoom up and careen back down within an hour.

An added benefit is more focus and concentration, specifically on my business.

That in a nutshell is why I am passionate about and share the benefits of GBG with my entire family.  We know it is important to eat a healthy diet and exercise, but life gets in the way of living.

That is why I choose to balance my diet with supplements.

But that is my opinion and my right.
